Official statement of FC "Metalist 1925"

FC "Metalist 1925" Kharkiv informs that in the second round of the 2024/2025 season, football player Oleksiy Sydorov was on loan to FC "Kolos" Kovalivka until June 30, 2025.

By the time the loan ended, FC "Metalist 1925" Kharkiv had already left for training camp abroad, so Oleksiy Sydorov joined the training process of the FC "Metalist 1925" Kharkiv U-19 team. After some time, the player stopped attending training sessions, and recently information emerged that the player Oleksiy Sydorov left Ukraine without the knowledge of our club.

FC "Metalist 1925" Kharkiv contacted the player's representatives, who confirmed that Oleksiy Sydorov did indeed leave Ukraine. Subsequently, we contacted the player directly, who also confirmed that he left Ukraine due to family circumstances. Currently, FC "Metalist 1925" Kharkiv does not know where Oleksiy Sydorov is located and how he crossed the Ukrainian border.

Due to the above, FC "Metalist 1925" Kharkiv calls on Oleksiy Sydorov to return to fulfill his contractual obligations and announces the start of an internal investigation and legal procedures against the player's unlawful actions.

Finally, it is noted that on July 25, 2025, FC "Metalist 1925" Kharkiv returned from the training camp abroad in full force.
