This Sunday at the Boryspil "Kolos" Stadium, we will see the renewed youth team of "Metalist 1925" in action. Significant changes have taken place in the team during this offseason, with the team being led by Yevhen Mykolayovych Nazarov, assisted by Oleh Sivukha, Maksym Yermolenko, Denys Sydorenko, and Vadym Rayevskyi.

As for the squad situation, the core of the team that played in the Second League last season has been largely preserved (except for the 2005 boys who cannot play due to age restrictions - Vladyslav Humeniuk, Danylo Kostyri, and Artem Sabalayev). Instead, a large group of graduates from the "Metalist 1925" academy has joined:

Goalkeepers: Mykyta Honcharov, Maksym Solovei, Mykyta Turchynov
Defenders: Kyrylo Herelis, Kyrylo Zhukovskyi, Oleh Novakovskiy, Arseniy Svirgun, Illia Sosnytskyi
Midfielders: Ihor Bohomolov, Denys Zelentsov, Kyrylo Krіshtopa, Kyrylo Zhukov, Illia Yakovlev, Illia Khrunyk
Forwards: Ivan Bahrii, Vladyslav Kolisnyk, Stanislav Sotnichuk, Taras Usichenko

As part of the preparation for the new season, our team played 11 friendly matches, winning 4, drawing 2, and losing 5. While there were some unpleasant defeats against their peers from "Dynamo" and "Obolon" at the beginning of the preparation, in the final stage, they defeated their future opponents in the Championship - "Kudrivka" and "Polissya."

In official matches, the teams met twice in the 2023/2024 season, with no clear advantage shown on the opponent's field - 1:1, and "Metalist 1925" won at home - 1:0 (goal by Viktor Tsubin).
