Ivan Lytvynenko: "Today is a difficult day, but we will keep moving forward"

Midfielder of "Metalist 1925" Ivan Lytvynenko in a flash commentary for UPL TV talked about his mistake, personnel problems, and goals for the team's next matches:

- I think we started the match well, then there was my mistake and we conceded a goal. We continued to play, created chances, the game was on, we scored a goal. Then an unnecessary goal from a corner happened, which demoralized us. Besides, the team is facing a tough personnel situation. Of course, it can happen to anyone, but you still understand that we lack our leaders. We gave our all. We need to analyze the game, it's a painful result. We will move on, we are in a difficult situation, both in terms of personnel and in the standings. We haven't won in five matches. We have no choice but to work during this international break and then enter the last four games of the year aiming for the best result. Today is a tough day, but we will keep moving forward.

- Mladen Bartulovich mentioned asking the team to play with short passes, not to kick the ball randomly. In the first conceded goal, when you passed the ball back, did you not see Budkivskyi challenging Varakuta high when you made that pass back?

- I didn't see it. The situation was like this: I saw the player to my right, but I didn't notice that they were running towards the goalkeeper. And when they shouted to me about it, I had already made that pass. Then everyone rushed into the goal, trying to save the situation. That's football, you need to move on. This mistake will be a lesson, I will learn from this episode.

- How much do you agree that the conceded goal at the start of the second half affected the mood of your team? You seemed to be charged up for the second half, but this conceded goal ruined everything?

- Everything continued as it was at the end of the first half. It's tough when you come out motivated to change the course of the game and win, and then two minutes later you concede a goal. We tried to change that on the field, no one wanted to give up, but today was such a day. We have to admit that the opponent performed better, and we didn't deserve to win. The championship is long, all teams are close in the standings now. We will continue to fight for our chances.
