Mladen Bartulovich: "The guys worked under heavy loads"

The head coach of "Metalist 1925" Mladen Bartulovich summed up the first stage of the training camp, talked about the squad situation, and shared plans for the second part of the preparation stage:

– Overall, how are the training camps going, are you satisfied with the pace of preparation?

– The training camps are going well, we are working in good conditions. We are very pleased with how we conducted the first stage of the training camp, judging by the work done. It was the most challenging period for the players because the focus was more on physical training. Now we will start adding more tactical aspects. Yes, we lost two games, but the guys worked under heavy loads.

– How ready is the team physically?

– The team's physical readiness is improving every day. It is noticeable that the guys are progressing in this segment. I think it is very important for us to add more to become an even more intense team.

– What is the current squad situation, are all players training in the general group?

– There were minor issues with Rashych and Shabanov, which is why they missed the games. But after the weekend, they should join the general group and work fully.

– How is Krupsky after the game against "Pardubice"?

– Fortunately, Krupsky only has a serious bruise, although initially the situation looked very scary. Thank God, everything turned out fine.

– During the first two friendlies, most players got up to an hour of playing time. Can we expect 90-minute loads closer to the end of the training camp?

– Yes, in the first matches, we tried to manage the playing time so that everyone received approximately equal loads. In the upcoming friendlies, the guys will play for 90 minutes. We will gradually prepare the starting lineup for the game against "Kryvbas".

– There are already two newcomers in the team. Can you say if there are more acquisitions expected?

– We already have two newcomers who are fully working with us. I really hope we will get 1-2 more additions, but I won't disclose details.
