History: The football history of "Oleksandriya" began in 1948 with the creation of the "Shakhtar" club, which played in the lower divisions of the USSR until 1990. In the same year, a club called "Polygraftehnika" was founded based on a local printing equipment plant, which quickly became the champion of the Kirovohrad region and debuted in the First League in 1991, reaching the elite of Ukrainian football in 2001. Due to financial problems in 2003, "Polygraftehnika" ceased to exist, and its place was taken by PFC "Oleksandriya." In 2014, the club merged with "Ukragrokom" from Holovkivka, and within a year, it reached the Premier League.
